Dee Blick takes Belfast by storm

| November 18, 2011

Amazon-topping, award winning, blog writing, marketing guru, Dee Blick really impressed our audience at the inaugural businessfirst Marketing Masterclass held in the Ramada Encore Hotel.

Dee, who’s credentials include providing marketing insights for blogs as diverse as BT, Royal Mail and RBS as well as being a columnist with the Daily Mail, impressed the class with her style, knowledge and practical examples of how marketing can help a business grow.

‘Probably the most useful masterclass I have ever been to.’

businessfirst is hoping to bring Dee back to Belfast as a Keynote Speaker at a Marketing for Small Business Conference in Spring 2012.

Here are some of the unedited comments from the delegates:

‘Coming from the corporate world I have been on quite a few seminars and workshops and have rarely, if ever been on a course where I felt that the benefit was so enormous. I really learnt an awful lot. I was blindsided by information.
The quality of delivery, the way in which Dee explained her expertise in Marketing, while giving her measurable real world case studies was simply fantastic. I love that she said if you do x, as we did with Y company, their turnover went from £400K to £1m. She named names and gave real companies. It is her depth of expertise with such a wide range of companies, from SME’s to large internationals which was invaluable. The very generous and all incompassing handout plus a copy of her free book were the icing on the cake. It was so beneficial to be able to do some of her excercises with her at the front of the room and then to be able to talk over your own business strategy with her, was frankly fantastic. (Liz Doyle. The Fine Dining Club)

‘Inspiring and thought provoking.’

‘Great hearing about case studies. Would have liked to hear more great tips like the coasters at the event example.’

‘Excellent event. Loved every minute. Wonderful woman who I would enjoy seeing again.’ (Maureen Totton, Mercury Security)

‘Very engaging expert in Dee. Very relevant to the current market. The layout of the conference with round tables allowed for one-to-one networking with fellow delegates.’

‘Dee was truly inspirational in a very unassuming manner.’

As a marketing novice, this course was excellent. Lots of practical advice.’ (Jillian Lowry, Posh Nosh)

‘Dee was excellent and it will help our company so much. Really good and I will attend more of Dee’s classes.’ (Frank Cullen, Mercury Security)
